With the Exchange Integrator module, WhiteSpace^® can be fully and seamlessly integrated with Microsoft Exchange to provide;

As Schedulers make Appointments for Employees, they are automatically published in Employees’ MS-Outlook calendars, and as end users make Appointments in Outlook, they can be published in WhiteSpace^®.

Customizable email notifications can be defined to be sent to users on new, changed or deleted Appointments, and custom fields can be appended to Appointments to provide Employees with additional information.

There are two integration systems available;

• Exchange Integrationuns within Exchange with no Outlook client installation Outlook Integration - when Exchange is not available or direct Integration not possible, client software runs within Outlook.
• WhiteSpace^® can also run within MS-Outlook, so users can view group Calendars their team, their Projects, availability etc. all from within MS-Outlook

The Outlook Integrator is available as an alternative to the Exchange Integrator where Exchange is either not available, or not practical.

Outlook Integration offers the same “no-touch” operation as Exchange Integration, with bi-directional synchronization with MS-Outlook Calendars, but without any software being required on the Exchange Server.

Outlook integration utilizes an MS-Outlook plug-in that performs the synchronization and supports MS-Outlook 2003 and 2007.

If you deal with Resources, Schedulers or Customers across multiple TimeZones, the TimeZone module is a powerful addition to your WhiteSpace^® system.

Resources, Schedulers and Bookings are allocated a default TimeZone. Bookings are always displayed for each Resource relative to their home TimeZone, but Bookings can also be made for a Resource for a different TimeZone, with the WhiteSpace^® maintaining the relationship between the Resource’s and the Booking TimeZone.

At any time WhiteSpace^® can detail the Start and End time of the booking in it’s original TimeZone, in the Resource’s TimeZone and in UTC time.

Resources and Users are allocated a default TimeZone, and you can choose a specific TimeZone when making a booking. Bookings are typically made for a Resource in their home TimeZone, however if you need to make bookings for multiple Resources from Multiple TimeZones, you simply specify the TimeZone in which the Booking will take place and the bookings will be made at the correct time for all parties and displayed appropriately in their TimeZone.

WhiteSpace^® manages multi TimeZone Bookings for the past, present and future and as TimeZone rules frequently change, it is crucial that the system maintain exact TimeZone rules and provide a mechanism to seamlessly update new rules as Governments around the world change them. To achieve this your Support and Maintenance includes a subscription to automatically update your TimeZone database seamlessly and automatically throughout the year.

The Optional WhiteSpace® Report Writer is a .NET report writer that allows complete Personalization of Reports, Charts and data extracts and allows you to perfectly match your reporting requirements.

Not only can you edit the existing "canned" reports, you can write your own reports and charts, then include the on any WhiteSpace® menu or within the Reports Center, thereby also controlling which users have access to reports.
