WhiteSpace^® is the ultimate Resource Scheduling Solution, combining power, performance and flexibility in a 100% Web based solution.

WhiteSpace^® provides all of the same color coded Bookings, Views, Resource Classes and Questionnaires as our Wallchart^® product range, but with specific functionality designed for employee and project scheduling, Summary, Project and Customer Views and time zone compliance making it ideal for team, office, department or enterprise wide implementations.

In addition to the classic “Diary” scheduling where appointments are scheduled with a start time and end time, WhiteSpace^® also caters for on-going time commitments such as background tasks or project work which is displayed when viewing a Resource’s availability.

By combining Calendar Scheduling and Task Scheduling, WhiteSpace^® can provide accurate information on actual Resource utilization and therefore show true Resource availability, or the true “White-Space” in their diary.

WhiteSpace^® supports Windows Authentication and provides customizable security levels including menu, function and appointment level security.

Although many example reports are built in as standard, WhiteSpace^® reporting is built on MS-SQL Server Reporting Services and allows custom reports to be added to the menus by an administrator.

WhiteSpace^® is backwards compatible with Wallchart^® and is fully integrated with MS-Outlook / Exchange, seamlessly publishing bookings made in WhiteSpace^® in MS-Outlook and vice versa.

Advanced options include full time zone management, Report Writer, integration with MS Outlook/Exchange and integration with Time Recording and Billing.

Integration with Time Recording provides users the capability of importing timesheets from the WhiteSpace^® or Outlook Calendar, feedback to the users of Tasks progress and the hours available to complete work in progress as well as feedback of vacation time taken, requested and available.

WhiteSpace^® can run both stand alone or fully integrated with Time Recording and Microsoft Exchange.

Exchange Integration

	Allows Outlook users to simultaneously view multiple resource calendars over multiple days / weeks / months check Resource availability, schedule people, rooms equipment etc as well as search by Skill / Location etc... Exchange integration requires no client installation and support all versions Outlook, OWA and any other clients for Exchange


Outlook Integration

	Where Exchange is not an option Outlook Integration can be used. Outlook Integration offers similar features as with Exchange integration, but with a plug-in for Outlook. Integration is seamless to the user and transparent to Exchange.




TimeZone Module

	The TimeZone module is an optional advanced module which allows you to view and manage Resources in Multiple TimeZones.



Report Writing

	The WhiteSpace® database has been specifically designed to make writing reports easy. You can write reports using standard SQL Server tools then attach it to a WhiteSpace® menu.

TIMEZONES
If you deal with Resources, Schedulers or Customers across multiple TimeZones, the TimeZone module is a powerful addition to your WhiteSpace^® system. Resources, Schedulers and Bookings are allocated a default TimeZone. Bookings are always displayed for each Resource relative to their home TimeZone, but Bookings can also be made for a Resource for a different TimeZone, with the WhiteSpace^® maintaining the relationship between the Resource’s and the Booking TimeZone. At any time WhiteSpace^® can detail the Start and End time of the booking in it’s original TimeZone, in the Resource’s TimeZone and in UTC time.			Resources and Users are allocated a default TimeZone, and you can choose a specific TimeZone when making a booking. Bookings are typically made for a Resource in their home TimeZone, however if you need to make bookings for multiple Resources from Multiple TimeZones, you simply specify the TimeZone in which the Booking will take place and the bookings will be made at the correct time for all parties and displayed appropriately in their TimeZone. WhiteSpace^® manages multi TimeZone Bookings for the past, present and future and as TimeZone rules frequently change, it is crucial that the system maintain exact TimeZone rules and provide a mechanism to seamlessly update new rules as Governments around the world change them. To achieve this your Support and Maintenance includes a subscription to automatically update your TimeZone database seamlessly and automatically throughout the year.

EXCHANGE INTEGRATION
With the Exchange Integrator module, WhiteSpace^® can be fully and seamlessly integrated with Microsoft Exchange to provide; Seamless bi-directional publication of Appointments Multi-Employee group views Project Views Customer Views View Resources by Skill Availability and Utilization analysis As Schedulers make Appointments for Employees, they are automatically published in Employees’ MS-Outlook calendars, and as end users make Appointments in Outlook, they can be published in WhiteSpace^®. Customizable email notifications can be defined to be sent to users on new, changed or deleted Appointments, and custom fields can be appended to Appointments to provide Employees with additional information.			There are two integration systems available; Exchange Integrationuns within Exchange with no Outlook client installation Outlook Integration - when Exchange is not available or direct Integration not possible, client software runs within Outlook. REPORT WRITER
The Optional WhiteSpace® Report Writer is a .NET report writer that allows complete Personalization of Reports, Charts and data extracts and allows you to perfectly match your reporting requirements.			Not only can you edit the existing "canned" reports, you can write your own reports and charts, then include the on any WhiteSpace® menu or within the Reports Center, thereby also controlling which users have access to reports. Report Writing Service Timewatch and selected Business Partners offer a Personalized Report Writing Service. If you need help writing a report, simply email us the details. We can write the report for you and email it to you by return. It's simple and easy for Administrators to add the report into your system they specify which Menu it is accessed from and which users have access to the report.
